03/29/2005: "Boo-Hoo-Hoo!"
Instead of the happiness one has when one knows s/he has purchased the most valuable degree in the universe, Harvard students are instead depressed and unhappy with the school and its rules. They complain that there are few places to socialize, and that it's difficult to throw a party, not to mention the failure of the school's world-class professors.
"I've definitely had great professors," said Kathy Lee, a junior majoring in psychology, "but most of the time you have to chase them down and show initiative if you want to get to know them."
Now, one never should have to show initiative in one's life. But having said that, Kathy's desire to "get to know" her professors makes me wonder: Is she there for the education? Or is she looking for a dinner date?
